Abdul Razzaq determined to make a comeback
Lahore: All rounder Abdul Razzaq seems determined to make a comeback and wants to prove his worth by playing domestic cricket.
He supported the idea of domestic coach for Pakistan team and said Aqib Javed and Ejaz Ahmad were a wonderful choice. The all rounder slammed Waqar Younus for creating lot of damage to Pakistan cricket.
According to details the ignored test player Abdul Razzaq in an interview was hopeful on being selected for the national team on merit and said I’ll prove my fitness through domestic cricket as I want to once again play for Pakistan. I have already prepared my cricket kit for this. The all rounder heavily criticized Waqar Younus and said the former head coach had brought lot of damage to Pakistan cricket. Let aside what the former captain has to say but he must accept the fact that he too was equally responsible for the Green Shirts disgraceful performance. He said presently we don’t have a good adviser in Pakistan cricket.
We lack people in PCB who have the wisdom to identify potential players and make them a part of the national team. The nonprofessional manner in which Pakistan team is being run today has brought the Green Shirts to a level where a new-born team like Afghanistan can beat them. Replying to a question he said we should avoid debating the issue of ‘Domestic or International coach.’ Pakistan cricketers must have a domestic coach and the two suitable choices are Aqib Javed and Ejaz Ahmad, both of them are aware of the domestic cricket structure, players temperament, their issues and the needs of Pakistan team and they have a long experience. Their guidance can bring significant improvement in the Green Shirts outcome. The all rounder said Inzamam ul Haq’s induction as a chief selector is a healthy sign and the former captain can deal selection matters more appropriately through his vast experience.
