Afridi makes it among most-expensive CPL players
JAMAICA: Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi was drafted into St. Kitts & Nevis for the third edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), ARY News reports.
The player auction for the third edition took place in Jamaica where the management of six teams took part.
West Indies players Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy, Sunil Narine and Chris Gayle were brought for $150,000.
Shoaib Malik, former one day captain of Pakistan, was drafted into Barbados Tridents for $100,000 whereas Sohail Tanvir was brought by St. Kitts & Nevis for $80,000.
Trinidad and Tobago bought wicket keeper batsmen Kamran Akmal for $30,000.
