Afridi refuses to meet Fact Finding Committee due to family commitments.
The first meeting of fact finding committee was conducted today. The committee contacted the T20 skipper, Shahid Afridi on a phone call and asked him to present himself in front of the committee, but, he refused due to family commitments.
The selection committee and the head coach Waqar Younis attended the session today at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. But, Shahid Afridi didn’t make himself available for the session due to his family commitments, however, he asked the committee members to ask him whatever they want over the phone.
Shahid Afridi has been brutally criticized for his captaincy by the cricket pundits and fans. In fact, Waqar Younis has blamed Afridi’s decision making at some specific situations in his report as the cause for Pakistan disastrous run in the T20 event.
The fact finding committee comprised of Iqbal Qasim, Subhan Ahmed, Mohsin Khan, along with current test playing batsmen Younis Khan and Misbah ul Haq,. The team is headed by Shakil Sheikh.
Earlier today, Waqar Younis apologized to the nation for the poor show in the World T20.
