Pakistan’s ace tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq was knocked out of the ongoing French Open after he and his Canadian partner Daniel Nestor were beaten in straight sets by the unseeded pair of P. Cuevas and M. Granollers in the third round of the prestigious tournament.

The 14th seeded duo of Aisam and Nestor offered some resistance by taking the first set to the tie breaker but unfortunately their opponents proved to be too strong on the day. Cuevas and Granollers won the second set by 6-4 and progressed to the quarterfinal. They will now face the 9th seeded pair of Kubot and Peya as they bid to qualify for the semifinal this time.

Aisam-ul-Haq, earlier, was also ousted from the mixed doubles event of the French Open alongside Olga Savchuk of Ukrain. The pair were defeated by French pair of Cornet and Eysseric in straight sets.
