The legendary Indian batsman, Sachin Tendulkar believes that if Mohammad Amir gets his rhythm right, he can do wonders for Pakistan.
“He is a good bowler, he has skills, if he gets his rhythm right, he will do something special,” said Sachin in an interview to ESPNCricinfo.
On being asked about the decision to let Amir play international cricket, the Little Master clearly stated that he has been punished for what he did and he now seems like a mature guy.
“I think the guys who decided to penalize him, has already penalized him, he has served the sentence and he is back to play now after whatever he was asked to do, so I think it is fine,” said Sachin.
“I have seen his couple of interviews, one with Michel Atherton, I came across that he is now a matured guy with a balanced head and that is something which will reflect on the field,” he added.
Commenting on Pakistan and England series, the highest run scorer in the history of cricket said, “It got to be a great series, Pakistan have always a good bowling attack,” he added, “This time also their bowling attack looks good, its going to be a good competitive series that people will enjoy.”
“A lot will depend on how they (Pakistan) bat, I think England will definitely test their batting skills and occasionally even England would be tested by their bowlers,” he further said.
“What I am out here to watch is, good quality cricket and if the cricket is played in the right spirit then cricket will always be a winner and people will follow cricket, this is as a cricketer I want to see,” concluded the batting great.
