Lahore: Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir has said that the fast bowler friendly conditions in England are lucky for him and every bowler loves to make full use of such conditions.
Talking in an exclusive interview with Pakistan Cricket Board Amir said that he was the highest wicket taker in England last time they visited back in 2010. He was hopeful that that he can come up with something similar on this tour as well and lead Pakistan to victory.
Mohammad Amir also talked about the fitness camp in Kakul and considered it as a good learning curve for his career. He pointed out that; although, the camp and its schedule were tough but they really enjoyed it and this will go on to help them in the future if the players continue to work on their physical fitness. He was adamant that the work done by the players in the camp will definitely reduce the injury ratio. Amir also backed PCB’s decision to carry out fitness test every two weeks because it will help in carefully assessing the progress made by every cricketer.
Regarding the new coach Mickey Arthur, whom Amir had earlier worked under in the inaugural season of Pakistan Super League, Amir said that he knows how to motivate players and his involvement with Pakistan cricket will be beneficial.
