Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria is a serious doubt for the Copa America final after the Paris Saint Germain player failed to complete the training session on Thursday.
He is likely to miss out on the Copa America Centenario final against Chile after the Argentina star suffered a recurrence of his adductor injury.
Di Maria went off during their second group stage match against Panama, which his side won 5-0, and consequently missed the next three fixtures against Bolivia, Venezuela and the host United States. Although he was on course to play the final on Sunday but he was unable to complete the training session because of the ‘evolution’ of his initial injury.
The injury is a big blow for Argentina, who will also be without Ezequiel Lavezzi after he suffered a radial fracture of his left elbow, which will need surgery.
