Chris Gayle played for the Lahore Qalandars in the first edition of Pakistan Super League but was not able to perform in accordance with his expectations and just accumulated 103 in five matches at an average of 20.60 with his highest score being 60.
The Karachi Kings followers are hopeful that the hard hitting batsman will provide their side with brisk starts at the top of the order which they lacked in the first edition. In numerous other T20 leagues of the world, Chris Gayle is a force to reckon with and which is why his new franchise and it’s owners will be confident that he can replicate some of his performances in Pakistan Super League as well.
Batting at a strike rate of close to 150 the T20 supremo can destroy any opposition on a day single-handedly just with his batting. He can almost hit sixes at will and not many bowlers in the world have been able to trouble him on a consistent basis.
The draft for the next edition of Pakistan Super League will take place on the 18th and 19th of October in Dubai while the second edition itself will take place in UAE next year.
