England’s Joe Root scored a magnificent double century during the second Test match at Old Trafford to lead his team to a commanding position. Joe Root batted for 614 minutes and scored 254 runs which included 27 boundaries.  He took full advantage of friendly batting conditions to bat Pakistan out of the game by helping England set a mammoth first innings total.
