Facing Anderson and Broad in England will be a challenge, says Shan
The young Pakistani opener, Shan Masood has showed determination that the openers will try their best to play the number one test bowler at the moment, James Anderson on difficult batting wickets.
Shan Masood was talking at a press conference when he confessed it would be a challenge for to face quality bowlers like James Anderson and Stuart Broad on their tour to England.
“We have to take this as a challenge and work hard in order to prevail in the series against England,” he said.
Shan Masood was quite decent during the England tour to UAE, but, he accepts the fact that it was a different scenario with unfriendly bowling conditions, still James Anderson was putting all his efforts.
“For Anderson, those were difficult bowling conditions, yet he was focused on getting the best outcome,” he said.
However, Masood is not backing off from the challenge and he is focused on improving his technique and doing well on the English shores.
“Similarly, I can also focus on improving and performing well on England’s pitches, which are generally considered to be a batsman’s nightmare,” he added.
The 26-year old batsman stood as one of the fittest players in the team in the PCB conducted fitness tests and the boot camp at Kakul.
Both, Shan and Sami Aslam are looking to grab the opportunity of representing their country in difficult playing conditions. Pakistan is scheduled to play eleven test matches in the next seven months and the young duo is ready to take up the challenge.
