Harbhajan names Saqlain among his all time favourite spinners

India’s veteran spinner, Harbhajan Singh has revealed that he counts Pakistan’s legendary spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq among his all time favourite spinners. The other two spinners that he admired are Aussie spin wizard, Shane Warne and the most successful Indian bowler, Anil Kumble.

Harbhajan Singh was talking to his fans on Facebook when he named the inventor of Doosra as one of his all time favourites.

Singh has recently been blessed with a baby girl and he quotes the happiness of becoming a father above every other feeling in the world.

“It’s the greatest happiness in life,” said Harbhajan. “It’s bigger than all my cricketing achievements. Of course, I am proud of what I have achieved as a cricketer. I have taken so many wickets for India and won the World Cup, but being a father is an even more beautiful feeling. It changes you as a person,” he added.

He also believes that family always comes first, “In fact, family always comes first,” he said. Family is everything for me. Cricket, of course, is important. It has given me recognition. But if I wasn’t born, I would not have played cricket. That’s why family always comes first for me!”

The 36-year old had praised the current test skipper of India, Virat Kohli and called him the future leader of limited overs game as well.

“Virat is a fantastic player for India,” he said. “He is like my brother. I think he will take India to the next level. He is doing so well in Test cricket as captain, but I think he is also going to lead India in ODIs in future.”

Comparing Kohli to the batting great, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan said, “In fact, I have always said that Sachin Tendulkar is my all-time favourite cricketer. And now my current favourite is Kohli. He is a really fantastic player.”
