ICC willing to shower money on players
Dubai: ICC is all set to shower money on players during the new year.
According to details Important decisions regarding the future have been taken during the ICC’s meeting held in Dubai. The awards fund has been raised by 65 million dollars for Top test team events men and women to be played during 2016 to 2023 giving the players an advantage to earn 41 percent more than the previous 8 years.
The amount is being doubled for the winning team which Tops the ICC Test Championship points table held every year. The performance of a country will be gauged till the 1st of April and any country which tops the list will now earn 10,000 dollars instead of 5,000. Other than the ‘BIG THREE’ India, Australia and England a separate fund of 70,000,000 dollars has been kept aside for other countries playing cricket.
For countries in association or collaboration the fund has been increased from 125 to 208 million dollars. For women ICC events the award amount has been increased 5 folds and now they can earn 4.4million dollars.
Its been confirmed that Bangladesh would host the under 19 World cup next year and BCB will ensure taking necessary measures in collaboration with its government for security purposes which must satisfy the ICC’s advisers.
Approval has been granted for bringing change in the ICC Women World Cup 2017 format to be played in England.
The percentage of correct decisions taken by umpires reflected a figure of 95.2 percent which was highly appreciated. While showing satisfaction on measures being taken against illegal bowling actions it was emphasized to maintain its continuity in future also.
