Indian under-19 captain arrested
Ishan Kishan, who is the captain of the Indian u-19 team was arrested in Patna yesterday as he allegedly caught speeding. He crashed into an auto rickshaw while driving his father’s car which resulted in passengers being injured.
According to report by India Today Kishan was also beaten up by people who were there as he got into a tangle with them but some of them called the police and the cricketer was eventually arrested. The car was also seized by the police.
Kishan was named the captain of the Indian u-19 side in December lat year due to his brilliant performances at the junior and domestic levels.
This is a significant dent on Indian chances for the upcoming u-19 World Cup which is scheduled to begin on the 27th of January.
