Injured Hafeez Likely to Miss the Game against New Zealand
Before Pakistan faces New Zealand in an extremely important World T20 game in Mohali on Tuesday, Mohammad Hafeez has reported pain in his knee and he is likely to miss the crucial bout.
Hafeez, who has been in form with the bat, got his right knee scanned and the report revealed bone contusion and a bit of fluid in the joint, which is causing the problem to him.
Professor played a wonderful innings of 64 runs off just 42 deliveries in the opening game of the World T20 against Bangladesh.
Khalid Latif is likely to be the replacement for Professor, who got a call from selectors for the World T20 after his inspiring run during the inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League.
On another occasion, Wahab Riaz was hit by a throw during the practice session in Mohali. The ball struck somewhere between his shoulder and neck.
Pakistan’s media manager, Agha Akbar reported that the left-arm pacer underwent a precautionary scan in a private hospital of Mohali. The scan showed there is nothing to worry. Wahab is fine and likely to play against Kiwis.
Pakistan will look to defeat the impressive Blackcaps to have bright chances of advancing to the semi finals.
