Ireland bat first against ‘Irfan-less’ Pakistan
ADELAIDE: Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan, who will play without its top pacer Mohammad Irfan in their last World Cup Pool B match here at Adelaide Oval.
Ehsan Adil has replaced Irfan. Experienced middle order batsman Younus Khan has also been replaced by all-rounder Haris Sohail.
The team that will win the match will secure a place in the last-eight stage while the losing side must raise their run-rate in comparison with West Indies, who are playing their last match against minnows UAE in Napier.
