Junaid, Rizwan star in Fighters’ Pentangular Cup title triumph
Junaid Khan is a part of Pakistan World Cup squad and he will be seen spearheading Pakistan’s pace attack Down Under along with teammate Mohammad Irfan.
Balochistan Warriors batted first in the final and scored 238 runs losing all of their wickets in 47 overs. It was 19-year-old Sami Aslam, who made the final of the big event interesting scoring 119 runs to help his side put a respectable total on board after Junaid played havoc with the top order. At one point, it seemed the Warriors might not be able to reach 200 runs. Another World Cup squad member Yasir Shah took two wickets cheaply for 22 runs in 10 overs.
In response, Fighters reached the victory total with ease after Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 103 runs off only 87 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and a six. Adil Amin also batted well for the side scoring 58 runs.
