Kaneria denies news of seeking asylum in India
Pakistan’s leg spinner Danish Kaneria, who was banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board, for his involvement in spot fixing, has brushed aside the news that he is seeking asylum in India due to the religious discrimination he is facing in Pakistan.
ARY News reported that Kaneria has said that he is currently in India for a Yatra (religious obligation) and will return back home as soon as he is over with it.
It was earlier reported that leg spinner has silently reached India and will be seeking asylum there and wants help from the Indian cricket board regarding his future as a cricketer.
Danish Kaneria was banned by the PCB in July 2013 after his involvement in spot fixing scandal in the English county championship.
