Knee injury rules out Starc for three weeks
SYDNEY: Australian pacer Mitchell Starc will be out of action for at least three weeks after he suffered a minor knee injury, ARYSports.tv reports.
Starc tops the one day rankings for bowlers after he took 22 wickets in the World Cup.
Australia’s physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said that he suffered soreness in the last stages of the mega event. He added that the pacer will have time to rest and recover from the injury before his examination.
“His recovery time will be between two-three weeks”, he said.
Australia will be hoping for Starc to recover before the team heads to West Indies for a tour and England for their Ashes series in June and July respectively.
