KP eager to participate in PSL
Flamboyant England superstar Kevin Pietersen is one of the top ranked players bound to play for a PSL franchise come February.
He has not been a regular in the English side but is confident that he and other prominent PSL inductees will help the junior Pakistani players taking part. He believes that T20 leagues are the way to go in the modern cricket atmosphere as they are a huge success. He expressed his thoughts through a video message during the logo launching ceremony “Absolutely buzzing to be a part of the Pakistani mela coming up in February.”
Talking to media KP was sure that Pakistan Super League is going to be a big opportunity for the domestic and lesser known players from Pakistan to perform alongside superstars from all over the world which would eventually help them nurture their cricketing kills and improve their mental toughness. The Indian Premier league and Australian Big bash have had the same impact and he has hopeful that PSL will achieve the same objective moving forward.
Focusing on International cricket Kevin Pietersen was hopeful that the upcoming English tour of UAE will be produce different results as compared to the 2012 tour as the Barmy Army is coming with more vigor and determination than ever before especially considering the fact that they successfully regained the Ashes a month ago. England players found it tough handling the Pakistani spin twins of Ajmal and Rehman last time and he made it clear that if England are to succeed they need to figure out a way of getting past the Pakistani Spinners especially the exciting leg spinner Yasir Shah.
