Whereas, India will confident because of their two consecutive wins in the tournament and impressive cricket throughout this new year. India has recently beaten Sri Lanka in a T20 series by 2-1. Fans are anticipating an game here.
MS Dhoni has won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Angelo Mathews is captaining Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga is sitting out due to some fitness issue. Mathews has also shown the wish to bowl first in today’s match because of the dew factor later in the game. Sriwardana threw his wicket in the cause, he was playing too many shots, Ashwin is a clever bowler slowed the ball a bit and got a top edge, batsman was going for a slog sweep but found the fielder on the boundary. Thisara Parera had to be a bit smart, after hitting a six on the second ball of Ashwin’s over, Ashwin was pushing the ball outside off as Parera was coming down the track, he bowled a wide and Dhoni took off the bails in no time. Leg umpire directly gave it out, but, was it really out or Thisara had made his ground? Another poor display of umpiring in Asia Cup, it has been miserable show by umpires till now.

Sri Lanka piled up a competitive total. India has to bat well to reach 139 runs in their quota of 20 overs. A couple of early wickets can make the contest extremely thrilling.
