Mickey Arthur granted Pakistani visa
Lahore: Head coach of Pakistan cricket team Mickey Arthur has obtained visa for Pakistan and will be arriving in Pakistan on the 6th of June according to a local news channel.
The South African had applied for Australian nationality which is why his passport was with the Australian embassy but now it has been confirmed that he has been granted the Australian nationality as well as the visa for Pakistan which is why he will be in Pakistan on the coming Monday.
After Arthur will arrive in Pakistan he will join the ongoing skills camp in Lahore and after taking his consent the final squad which will tour England in July will be announced.
Mickey has coached the South African and Australian team before and has vast experience of coaching various team in numerous T20 leagues held around the globe including the Pakistan Super League where he was the head coach of Karachi Kings.
Mickey Arthur played 100 first class and 150 List A matches but never got a chance to serve his country by playing international cricket but under his coaching the South African team did become world beaters. His tenure with South African team ended in 2010 and after that he became the first foreign born coach of Australian cricket team.
