Pakistan left handed opening batsman Nasir Jamshed is rooting to make yet another comeback in the Pakistan side which is why he wants to utilize the chance he is going to get in England to impress the selectors and get another shot at playing for Pakistan’s national team.
Nasir was ousted from the Pakistan team after his poor show at the top of the pile for Pakistan in the world cup of 2015 in Australia.
“At the moment I accept that I am out of the Pakistan team due to my performance and obviously it’s my ambition to make a comeback, whether that’s in the next series or the series after that,” he said in an interview with PakPassion.net.
“The most important thing for me is that if and when I make a comeback, I don’t make the same mistakes in batting again,” he said.
“I want to be an improved player whenever I return to the team and make fewer mistakes, so I can survive in international cricket,” he added
Nasir is currently playing for Old Elizabethans CC in the Birmingham League where he scored a brilliant century in the very first game he played.
“It’s a great experience to play in England because English conditions are known to be difficult for batsmen due to the seam and swing,” he said.
“So it allows you to improve the technical aspects of your batting which is the main purpose of my stint here,” he added.
