‘No Faction in Cricket Team’ says fact-finding committee
Lahore: No facts found regarding faction in cricket team says PCB’s special committee, rather individual failures at the World T20 and Asia Cup, head coach, captain and some players becomes a cause for the team’s defeat.
The nation which expected a lot from their cricket team hardly got anything to see in the field but are now witnessing plenty of ‘blame game‘ in the innings outside the field. The dejected, angry head coach is seen approaching the minister of sports with a bundle of complaints.
The head coach upon reaching the federal minister of sports Riaz Pirzada spitted out everything very openly. He once again highlighted issue of the confidential report-leakage to the board and players attitude and emphasized once again that these matters are still confidential.
Moin Khan, who has been blamed by the head coach for taking some boys out quietly to buy them gifts, still remains silent. He says he’s not quiet because he’s being offered a position but would speak in front of the board which he considers is a proper forum.
On the other end the fact finding committee will probably submit its suggestions tomorrow to the board related to the Asia cup and World T20 debacle. According to sources the committee has not observed any grouping in the team, but, has identified few players who haven’t done their job well.
Head coach Waqar Younis was unable to unite the team and the captain Shahid Afridi lacked leadership abilities. Sources say that Waqar Younis might be issued a show cause notice for breaking cricket board’s code of conduct.
