No intentions of taking the team to task’ says Chairman PCB
Lahore: Chairman PCB turns down the possibility of taking the cricketers to task on their disappointing performance against NZ.
In an interview to a local channel he said that Pakistan team’s performance against the Kiwis was unsatisfactory. The bowlers were unable to perform as expected and the batsmen from the very beginning started losing wickets chasing a huge score. The host team fielders showed excellent performance and took some very difficult catches, the Green Shirts will have to match their standard and before the start of World T20 we’ll have to further work hard on our fielding and fitness.
He said the captain and the players work very hard on their own but sometimes in cricket you don’t get the desired results and in T20 format the situation changes abruptly. Replying to a question he said the players won’t be taken to task on their recent failures, we’ll sit together and review the issues. Of course the coach and captain would certainly be asked as practiced in the past, but we have no intentions questioning the players.
