Pakistan, Afghanistan to play Disabled Cricket Series from Feb 22

Karachi: Pakistan disabled cricket team will face their counterparts from Afghanistan in International Disability Cricket Series here at National Stadium from February 22.

Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari addressed a press briefing on Thursday regarding the series.

PDCA is organizing this series with support of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Association of Builders and Developer of Pakistan (ABAD).

Former captain Pakistan Cricket team Rashid Latif with Junaid Ashraf Taloo Chairman ABAD, Hanif Memon Vice Chairman, Hasan Bakhshi Regional Head, Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Farooqui President KCCA, Arshad Khan PCB representative, Saleem Karim President PDCA, Amir Uddin Ansari Hon. Secretary PDCA and Muhammad Nizam Media Manager were also present on the occasion.

Two forty-over matches and three T20 matches will be played during the series.

On the occasion, Rashid Latif said that it was good to see our disabled players play international matches.

“To me these players are as good as our normal cricket team players,” Rashid said.

“PCB should start patronizing disabled cricket as well and help it promote at international level,” he added.

“Sponsors should come forward and patronize this cricket as well,” he said.

Nazeef, Shafiq Smim, and Fazal Rehman. Abdul Manan Masood (Head), Sayed rehman (Coach), Jalil khan (Mannager), Irfan Gardiwal (Media) and Obaid Haqyar (Physio).

Pakistan Team: Hasnain Alam, Matloob Qureshi, Rehan Ghani Mirza, Ashfaq Ali, Fayyaz Ahmed, Ameer Ahmed, Danish Ahmed, Rao Javed, Muhammad Kalam, Abdullah, Abdullah Afridi, Iqbal Hussain, Umaiz-ur-Rehman, Farhan Saeed, Altaf Ahmed, Jahanzaib Tiwana, Sadeem Baig, Raja Qaisar, Abdullah (Lahore) and Arif Richard.
