Pakistan Cricket Board honors the great Abdul Sattar Edhi
Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board’s official and the captains of all three formats of the game attended a ceremony in a Lahore hotel to back Edhi Foundation and honor the great philanthropist.
During the ceremony, a package ran on the precious contribution of Abdul Sattar Edhi in which talked about his vision towards humanity as well.
Shahryar Khan addressed the ceremony and hailed Edhi’s acts of humanity. The PCB Boss stated, “Edhi’s status in the country is not lower than anyone,” he added, “He is one of the greatest persons of Pakistan’s history.
Shahryar Khan went on to say that the philanthropist deserves the Nobel Prize and he deserves it this year. He added that it is a privilege for the PCB and the cricketers that they will be associated with the Edhi Foundation by wearing its logo on their kit.
Khan presented the Pakistan’s ODI jersey to Edhi Foundation that had the name of the great man on the back of the it with a shirt number of ‘1’.
The Chief Operating Officer of PCB, Subhan Ahmed presented a cheque worth of Rs. 500,000 to the Edhi Foundation on behalf of Pakistan Cricket Board.
The Chairman of Pakistan Super League also praised the unmatched services of Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi for his unmatched and selfless services for humanity. He also gifted a cheque of Rs 500,000 on behalf of PSL.
Saad Edhi, the trustee of Edhi Foundation and the grandson of the great humanitarian, was representing the Ehdi foundation in the ceremony said, “On behalf of the Edhi Foundation, I would like to thank the Pakistan Cricket Board for its support to our cause. Seeing our cricketers sporting the Edhi Foundation logo on their kits will raise great awareness on a global platform,”
All three captains of Pakistan presented a signed bat of the team to Saad Edhi and also the T20 and ODI jersey.
