Pakistan Cup: ARY throws their support behind Sindh team
The ARY group has decided to take another great initiative for the betterment of Pakistan cricket which is why they will now be backing the Sindh side captained by the new T20 skipper of Pakistan Sarfraz Ahmed in the upcoming Pakistan Cup in Faisalabad.
75 players will feature in the tournament and for that a draft will take place in Lahore today where the top brass of every team and other prominent board officials will be present. The draft will be similar to that of Pakistan Super League and so it will be up to the teams to form a proper match winning combination.
The ARY backed Sindh side will be led by the exuberant and talented wicket keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed who is a regular feature of Pakistan side in all three formats. He will be ably supported by former cricketers in the form of Tauseef Ahmed and Iqbal Imam in the coaching panel.
The Pakistan Cup will is scheduled to take place in Faisalabad from the 19th of April to 1st of May where top stars of Pakistan Cricket will feature which will be a rare sight. Apart from Sindh, the Punjab team will be captained by Shoaib Malik while ODI captain Azhar Ali will captain Balochistan. The responsibility of leading the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be shouldered by veteran player Younis Khan will test captain Misbah-ul-Haq will captain the Federal side.
The ARY group were the highest bidders during the inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League when they bought the Karachi Kings side and this new venture will be another glaring instance of ARY’s work towards the amelioration of Pakistan cricket.
