Pakistan faces fourth consecutive defeat in Azlan Shah
Pakistan suffers the fourth consecutive defeat in the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament; the host Malaysia beat the Men in Green by 1-0.
The win against Pakistan has given the hosts, Malaysia, precious 3 points that has given them a chance to contest for the bronze medal in the tournament.
Malaysia scored the only goal of the match in the fourth minute of the game, where the Malaysia captain Razie Rahom converted a penalty corner into a goal.
Malaysia could not increase their lead in the game as they missed out on a penalty corner in the second quarter.
On the other hand, Pakistan got two penalty corners and another chance to score a goal, where Ajaz Ahmed had just Malaysian goalkeeper in his way, but, he was unable to beat the keeper and net the ball.
Pakistan has managed only one win in the five matches they have played in the tournament when they defeated Canada by 3-1. The Men in Green have received thumping defeats against Australia, New Zealand and India in the prestigious hockey tournament.
They will face their last group game of the tournament against Japan on April 15th.
