Pakistan finishes Azlan Shah campaign on a winning note
Pakistan has managed to end their Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament on a high; they defeated Japan in their last game of the tournament convincingly by 4-1.
Pakistan, who was eliminated early in the tournament, scored their first goal of the match in the 20th minute, where Ali Shan netted the ball.
Just four minutes later, Rizwan Ali doubled the lead by scoring the second goal for his team. Japan fought hard in the game and managed to register a goal in the 48th minute.
Pakistan once again went for the attack and scored their third goal of the match with the courtesy of Muhammad Arslan Qadir just seconds after Japan’s goal.
Muhammad Arslan Qadir went on to score another goal in the 57th minute that sealed victory for the Men in Green.
Pakistan had a vulnerable time during the tournament as they managed pull off just two victories against Canada and Japan in six games they. Pakistan finished at sixth spot in the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament. Japan could not win a single contest during their run in Ipoh, Malaysia.
