Pakistan further slips down to 192 in FIFA world ranking
FIFA has announced the new world ranking for the month of July and Pakistan has slipped down two positions further from 190 to 192.
It is Pakistan’s worst ranking in the last fifteen years, moreover, Pakistan is the lowest ranked country among the SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) countries as well. SAFF has seven countries including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
India is the top ranked among SAFF countries at 163, whereas, Maldives is ranked at 174 with a drop 14 ranks, Bangladesh has the 181 position, Nepal is standing just next to Bangladesh at 182, Bhutan is an 188 number and Sri Lanka has the 189 spot in the world.
Pakistan had an early exit from the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers, which has brought a drought to Pakistan football of competitive games for the next four years.
However, Argentina is dominating the world ranking while Belgium and Columbia are holding the 2nd and 3rd spots.
