Pakistan gets batting coach from Chinese Taipei for the national baseball team
As Pakistan baseball team is about to participate in the World Cup Classic qualifying round, they needed a quality batting coach and it has been learnt that Chinese Taipei has gifted Pakistan a coach.
The qualifying round is scheduled to be played in New York from September 20th to 24th.
A good show by the Men in Green during their outing in the New York can open numerous opportunities for the local baseball players.
The national coach of Pakistan’s baseball team, Mussadiq Hanif told Dawn News that Pakistan has potential pitchers in the team and they needed to improve the batting department. Pakistan was in search of a coach and that has been solved by Chinese Taipei by gifting one.
The name of the coach is yet to be conveyed, however, the head coach further revealed that there has been a eight month long training camp set for players to get well prepared for the qualifying round.
“It is the highest-ever competition Pakistan is going to take part in and good performance can open a new bright future for our players who could knock at the doors of the US League,” the head coach said.
According to the head coach, Pakistani pitchers are good enough to throw the ball with a speed of 90 to 92 km/h which is good enough to meet the international standards.
He named , Ihsanullah, Mohammad Usman, Inyatullah Niazi, Zohaib Ali and Israr Ahmad as potential pitchers for Pakistan.
Other teams that will compete against Pakistan to book a berth in World Cup are Isreael, Brazil and the Great Britain and according to Mussadiq, Pakistan has the guts to beat all these three teams and get into the world cup.
Top 12 teams have already qualified for the world cup, four more teams will join them through qualifying rounds.
Pakistan is currently ranked at 23, which is impressive keeping in view the exposure of local players to the quality
