Pakistan may not participate in World Blind T20

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) revealed on Tuesday that the national team might not participate in the upcoming Blind Cricket World Cup that is scheduled in January in India due to the current political rift.

A PBCC official told APP that the participation of the national team will depend on the permission of government.

“If the situation remains the same, as it is nowadays between both the countries, then it is likely that the team won’t be participating in the event,” the official said.

“However, at our end we are fully prepared for the mega event. We have shortlisted 20 players out of which 16 will make their way into the final squad,” he added.

The official further told about the preparations, “As many as six teams from Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Kashmir and Islamabad will participate in the tournament.”
