Pakistan should opt for five bowlers in remaining Test matches, says Ilyas
Former Test batsman and chief selector Mohammad Ilyas is adamant that Pakistan should go with five bowlers in the remaining two Test matches rather than going for the same ploy of playing four bowlers which has been the case in the first Two Test matches at Lord’s and Old Trafford.
Ilyas added that Pakistan need to neutralize the English batting by playing five bowlers and bringing their opposing batsmen under pressure.
“In my opinion, we should not rely wholly on Mohammad Amir and Yasir Shah and should go in with five bowlers to put more pressure on England,” he said.
Ilyas was also surprised by the new ‘dancing’ method adopted by Younis Khan while batting which is clearly not working and the former cricketer believes that it shows the nervousness of the player.
“That shows that he is clearly nervous on English pitches.” said Ilyas.
The third Test match between Pakistan and England begins on the 3rd of August at Edgbaston and Pakistan have got their wok cut out as they look to counter their deficiencies and face the challenge posed by England.
