Pakistan suffers early loss in Abu Dhabi
Pakistan lost two quick wickets on the morning of day 5 as they were 3/2 for at one stage. Anderson took two wickets in one over as he dismissed both Shan Masood and the double centurion from the first innings Shoaib Malik. Younis and the birthday boy Hafeez then took Pakistan safely to lunch at 35/2 as Hafeez spanked Rashid over long off for a six on the last ball of the session.
England declared their first innings at 598/9 after playing for about an hour in the morning session of day 5. Imran khan took his second wicket of the innings as he bowled the overnight batsman Adil Rashid for 12 runs. Both teams were going through the motions and finally England declared their innings after taking a lead of 75 runs.
The match has been extremely slow in terms of interest and the pitch has taken severe criticisms from all quarters as people render this kind of cricket as detrimental for the game.
