Pakistan to leave for India tonight
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan has said that they have sent a report to the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar about the security arrangements in India and the security assurances which they have received from ICC and BCCI.
“We have also informed the ministry about assurances coming from the Bengal Chief Minister who is keen to see Pakistan play in Kolkata,” Shaharyar said.
A source has told Press Trust of India that the logistics department of the PCB is making preparations to get the team on a flight to India tonight or in the evening.
The men’s and women’s players in Lahore and Karachi have also been told to be ready for a swift departure as they will have to move quickly as soon as the final decision is made.
Shaharyar Khan also added that Pakistan will incur huge losses if they do not go for World T20 in India. He said that Pakistan will have to suffer losses of around USD 15 million if they cancel their visit.
