BANGKOK: Pakistan women’s team crushed Bangladesh by 9 wickets in Asian Cricket Council Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup in Bangkok on Wednesday.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, but, their batting line tumbled for just 44 runs in 15.3 overs.
Jahanara Alam remained the highest scorer with 12 runs off 8 deliveries, whereas, Bangladesh’s captain Rumana Ahmed stood as second highest scorer with 11 runs off 18 balls.
No other Bangladesh’s batter could manage a score in double figures.
Sana Mir was the pick of the bowler with bowling figures of three wickets for 5 runs in three overs.
Aiman Anwar picked two wickets and Aliya Riaz, Anam Amin, Javeria Khan and Nida Dar took one wicket apiece for Pakistan.
Pakistan chased down the total at a cost of one wicket in 9.5 overs.
Javeriya Khan and Iram Javed remained not out on scores of 26 and 17 respectively.
