Pakistani players return home amid silence
LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team returned to the country on Monday following their exit from the Cricket World Cup, ARYSports.tv reports.
Former captain Misbah-ul-Haq, Wahab Riaz, Nasir Jamshed, Haris Sohail, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Rahat Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Ehsan Adil whereas team manager Naveed Cheema and bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed landed at Lahore on Monday morning.
They left for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Headquarters without even talking to the media. They were told to come through the old terminal for security reasons.
On the other hand, Shahid Afridi, Sarfraz Ahmed and Sohail Khan arrived in Karachi on Sunday night.
They left for their homes after meeting the cricket fans at the airport. Shahid Afridi apologized to the nation for the team’s performance in the World Cup.
