Pakistan’s men’s team qualifies for final of junior squash tournament
Karachi: Second-Seed Pakistan defeat America to reach the men’s team final of WSF World Junior U-19 squash championship. To win the trophy Pakistan will face Top-Seed Egypt which earlier beat Seed-5 England by 2-1 in the semi final.
According to information received, exciting competition is already on in the World Junior Squash Championship at the city of Bielsko Biala, Poland. The other day in the second semi final of the team event, Abbas Shaukat beat Samuel Scherl of Seed-7 America by 3-1 his winning score was 10-12, 11-4, 11-5 and 11-5. In the second match Israr Ahmad beat Andrew Douglas 3-0 bringing Pakistan to the final.
Earlier in the first semi-final Top-Seed Egypt beat Seed-5 England by 2-1. The first match was swept by Egyptian player Marwan 3-0 while Saadeldin in the second gripped Charlie Lee 3-2 leading his team to victory, in the third and routine match Yousaf Ibrahim lost against English player Kyle Finch by 2-1. Before this in the quarter final Egypt beat Seed-9 New Zealand, whereas England beat Seed-4 India by 2-0, America beat Seed-5 France 2-1 and Pakistan beat Seed-10 Australia 3-0.
