Pakistan’s team news for second ODI against West Indies
Sharjah: Pakistan and West Indies will clash in the second ODI match at Sharjah today with the visitors facing the daunting task of leveling the series after going down convincingly in the first ODI.
Pakistan will most probably field the same side which faced West Indies in the first ODI and not disturb the winning combination.
Captain Azhar Ali will be looking to prove a point with the bat as he was dismissed for a golden duck in the first ODI. Although he marshaled the troops fairly well during the first ODI but it is his batting which let him down as he was not able to trouble the scorers.
Sharjeel Khan provided Pakistan with a brisk start by scoring a quick half century but he needs to convert those starts into something substantial and not throw away his wicket like the way he did in the first ODI.
Pakistan would be glad to see Babar Azam improving with every passing game especially after seeing him score a century in the first match of the series. Pakistan would look towards Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed to provide him with support in the middle and lower order.
Pakistan expected: 1 Azhar Ali (capt), 2 Sharjeel Khan, 3 Babar Azam, 4 Shoaib Malik, 5 Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), 6 Mohammad Rizwan, 7 Mohammad Nawaz, 8 Imad Wasim, 9 Wahab Riaz, 10 Mohammad Amir, 11 Hasan Ali.
