Pakistan’s young weightlifter stands a bright chance for ‘Rio Olympics’
Pakistan’s teen age weightlifter Nooh Butt stands a bright chance to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
The Asian Weightlifting Championship held in Tashkent was a qualifying round for the Rio Olympics. In the 105kg+ category Pakistan’s Nooh Butt stood at the 12th position and managed to lift 357kgs to become South Asia’s number one weightlifter.
The federation spokesperson says Nooh Butt can qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics from South Asia and its announcement is expected soon.
Nooh Butt is also a gold- medalist of Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship.
