Paul Collingwood Backs English Team for the World T20 in India
The World T20 winner English captain, Paul Collingwood, believes that his countrymen can come out of the humiliation against South Africa and create an impression in the upcoming T20 mega event.
England was putting up an impressive show in the shortest format of the game; they won five consecutive matches before getting hammered by the Proteas 2-0 in a series.
The two teams will face each other again in the Group 1 match of the World T20 on March 18th in Mumbai. The other teams in their group are Sri Lanka and West Indies.
The former English skipper, Collingwood will travel to India with the squad as the batting and fielding coach. He was also there with the English team in UAE, where they defeated Pakistan in their second home.
Paul Collingwood seems impressed with the kind of the improvement England has shown in the limited overs cricket in the past 12 months or so. Keeping their progress in view, Collingwood believes they will be a solid side in World T20 in India.
