PCB bio-mechanics lab meets international standards
LAHORE: The head of Pakistan’s bio-mechanics lab, Prof Awais is confident that it meets the international standards and can get accreditation from the ICC.
Awais told APP on Monday, “According to our record, it is an international standard facility which fulfills all the laid down criteria to get affiliated with the ICC which can send its experts to check its necessary protocols.”
The head said that lab has got all the facilities to test an illegal bowling action, “Our lab is open to the ICC experts and we would welcome their useful suggestions for its further improvement.”
Awais claimed that the bio-mechanics lab all around the world are functioning at even a smaller space than PCB’s lab at LUMS, however, PCB is looking to shift the lab at a more spacious place.
“Up-gradation of labs, software has been done while its two faculty cameras have been replaced and our lab is working in a perfect manner,” he added.
The Pakistan Cricket Board is also in contact with experts working in different labs in the world and they are likely to visit Pakistan to see the facilities and experts from Pakistan will visit them to gain the latest knowledge.
The lab will not be only restricted to sports activities, but, the facilities will also be utilized for healthcare issues as well.
