PCB chairman Shahryar Khan rejoins after successful heart surgery
LAHORE: PCB chairman Shahryar Khan resumed his duty after undergoing a successful heart surgery. He spent almost two hours at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore the other day.
Chief operating officer, Subhan Ahmad briefed him regarding the ICC meeting. Afterwards, the head of executive committee Najam Sethi also met him to discuss various issues.
According to details the chairman who suffered difficulty in breathing and he went through a heart surgery in England. The doctors had advised him to take rest after being discharged from the hospital. The former bureaucrat was at his home in London for the past two months.
During his absence there were rumors circulating that he might step down from his position since no one was officiating during his absence. However, Shahryar Khan immediately upon his arrival to Pakistan, attended a dinner hosted for the Australian army team putting an end to all rumors.
People were surprised to find him at PCB headquarter Gaddafi Stadium on Monday at around 12 noon with his cap and walking stick. He stayed there for around two hours.
The board staff members were seen enquiring about his well-being and wished him good health. While leaving for his home Najam Sethi came along to see him off. The PCB chairman will conduct a press conference on Tuesday to brief the media announcing the future plan of action.
