PCB might bring in Aaqib Javed as bowling coach
Former Pakistan fast bowler who was part of Pakistan’s world cup winning campaign in 1992 has emerged as the top contender for the post of bowling coach of the national side.
According to sources Aaqib Javed, who turned down an offer from Bangladesh Cricket Board for the post of bowling coach, is most likely to be sworn in as the new bowling coach as the team prepares for the all important tour of England for which they will depart for England on the 18th of June.
Aaqib Javed resigned as coach of UAE in April as he wanted to be the next coach of Pakistan national side but the coach finding committee was more interested in roping in a foreign coach rather than him. Aaqib was later offered the role of director cricket for Lahore Qalandars, a franchise in Pakistan Super League, which he gleefully accepted.
