PCB Postpones Pakistan Cricket Team’s Departure to India
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has delayed the departure of the national side to India for the World T20 due to the uncertain security concerns in the host country.
Amjad Hussain, the Director Media of the PCB said, the final decision over sending Pakistan national cricket team to the neighboring country for the T20 mega event after a formal green light from the Interior Minister, Chowdhry Nisar.
Amjad Hussain said, “PCB has delayed national women’s and men’s cricket team from travelling to India,”,
The Pakistan security team that traveled to India has shown dissatisfaction over the quick response facilities that can is worrying. Although, Indian government has assured the security of Pakistan cricket team, but, still, lives and property of Pakistan squad can be in danger.
The PCB Chairman, Shaharyar Khan has already proposed to shift their World t20 games to a neutral venue in case Pakistan government does not allow their team to travel to India.
Pakistan cricket team was scheduled to fly to India to take part in the sixth edition of the World T20 on Wednesday. There is too much resistance against Pakistan’s participation in the World t20 by political parties, some government personalities and the ex-servicemen.
