KARACHI: Astonishingly, Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to send four different media managers to England, one of those managers will be fully dedicated towards social media.
The only media manager that was travelling with the team since New Zealand tour in January was Agha Akbar and now he will be accompanied by Raza Kitchlew, Amjad Bhatti and the one who will only look after social media, Aun Zaidi.
A source told Dawn News, “The idea is to give maximum exposure to media managers as it is a big tour.”
The well known cricket writer, Jarrod Kimber took a shot at this issue and tweeted, “Pakistan has [four] different media managers for this tour. Informed media rotation is the way forward.”
Raza Kitchlew spent his time in India during the World T20 as one of the many media managers deputed by the International Cricket Council.
Pakistan is scheduled to play a four-match test series, five one day internationals and a T20 international.
The first test match of the tour will kick off from July 14.
