Players celebrate YK’s record in the dressing room
Abu Dhabi: The Board took Younus Khan’s achievement very easy but his team mates didn’t forget to celebrate the master batsman’s record by cutting a cake in his honor for which he thanked all his team members.
According to details Younus Khan who played an innings of 38 runs against England on Tuesday achieved a great record to become the highest scorer by scoring 8832 runs and crossing Miandad’s record. At this occasion PCB seemed satisfied issuing a routine press release but his team mates didn’t miss a chance to celebrate ‘Brother Younus’s’ achievement by cutting a special cake in the dressing room in his honor. Younus himself served the cake to all his colleagues and thanked them.
Speaking at this occasion the captain Misbahul Haq said Younus who is a symbol of motivation for him and the rest of the team has always been supportive throughout his career, even the junior players praised him for being a source of guidance in the moment of crisis. Younus after reaching the hotel kept receiving congratulation messages from his friends and well wishers but seemed a bit disturbed on losing his wicket at 38 runs.
Younus admitted he was a bit nervous while breaking the world record but now he is out of it and will fully focus on the coming innings to be played. Though he didn’t pass any immediate comments but it seems he has a burning desire to be the first Pakistani to achieve the 10,000 runs mark in Test and would like to keep himself away from unnecessary issues to achieve his goal.
