Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced through a press release that the second season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will commence with a grand opening ceremony on February 9, 2017 and the final of the tournament will take place on March 7th in Lahore.
According to the press release, the final of the league in Lahore will make it easier to bring back the international cricket to Pakistan.
The first day of the PSL will feature the ceremony as well as first game of the tournament, which will be played between the reigning champions, Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi.
Keeping in view the success of the first edition of the league, the number of match days have been increased from 16 days to 18 days.
All five teams will fly back to Pakistan to contest for the ultimate prize of the Pakistan Super League. The final of the tournament is likely to be played in Lahore, however, schedule says that it is subjected to security clearance.
