PSL announce two names as an alternate to West Indies test captain Jason Holder after his request for NOC was rejected by the West Indies Cricket Board.
PSL on its tweeter account said the Quetta Gladiators have selected Sri Lankan all rounder Thishara Perera and England’s fast bowler Jade Dernbach in place of West Indian captain.
It may be noted that the West Indian Cricket Board had refused to issue NOC to Holder.
The Board was of the view that Holder is a player included in the contract and he’ll have to give preference to West Indies cricket first.
The Board’s Chief Executive MIchael Muirhead said the dates in which PSL is to begin clash with our Domestic One-Day cup to be played in the same dates, therefore Holder is being denied a NOC.
Holder is a captain of the domestic Barbados team.
World renowned players would be showing their skills and talent in PSL’s 24 matches to be played between 4th to 23rd February.
