On the second day of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy final in Karachi, the SNGPL side was dismissed for 238 runs and took a slender lead of 30 runs.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq played a resolute knock of 85 runs which helped the team to wipe out the deficit and get a small lead. Umar Akmal and Misbah added 72 runs for the 6th wicket which got the team out of trouble because at one stage SNGPL were 5/114 with not many proper batsman to come.

UBL could not get off to a good start in the second innings as they lost opener Sharjeel Khan as he was dismissed by Bilawal Bhatti for 6 runs. UBL were 17/1 at the end of day 1 and trail by 13 runs.

UBL will look to set SNGPL a target in excess of 250 so that they can improve their chances of winning this match.
